SERVICE DESCRIPTION
If you change the address of your place of residence in the country, you must report this change to the Ministry of the Interior.
THIS APPLIES TO YOU, IF you received a registration certificate or a temporary or permanent residence permit and if you change the address of your residence in the territory of the Czech Republic. Under these circumstances, you are required to report this change to the appropriate office of the MOI CR.
SERVICE OUTPUT
When you report a change of the address of your residence, you will have fulfilled your legal obligation. The procedure and obligation to pay the administrative fee for reporting a change of address varies according to the type of residence permit you have.
- In the case of holders of a registration certificate, a new certificate will be issued.
- In the case of holders of a temporary residence permit for a family member of an EU citizen, there is no change of document.
- In the case of holders of a permanent residence permit of an EU citizen, a new address is marked on the existing document.
- In the case of holders of a permanent residence permit for a family member of an EU citizen, a new document will be issued.
WHEN TO USE THE SERVICE
As an EU citizen or a family member of an EU citizen, you are required to report a change of your place of residence within 30 working days of the day, on which the change occurred. You have this obligation, if the expected change of your place of residence will last for more than 180 days.

You must report the change of your place of residence (your new place of residence) on a duly filled out form.
To report this change, you must submit:

Send the filled out form for reporting changes, along with the documents, in accordance with the Rules of Administrative Procedure to the official contacts of the MOI by e-mail with a recognised electronic signature, with all attachments being in the format of authorised conversion (via the filing office of the MOI CR), or to the data box (to DB MOI CR).

HOW MUCH YOU WILL PAY FOR THE ELECTRONIC PROCESSING
EU citizens of any type of residence pay a fee of CZK 200 for notification of a change of address.
Holders of a temporary residence permit for a family member of an EU citizen do not pay for notification of a change of address. They can then decide if they want to have their new address marked on their passport. If they wish to have it marked, it will be free of charge, but they must visit a Ministry of the Interior office.
Holders of a permanent residence permit for a family member of an EU citizen pay a fee of CZK 200 in connection with the need to issue a new document.
If you report the change electronically, the administrative fee must be paid by bank transfer via the payment details generator on the Information Portal for Foreigners.
WHAT YOU NEED IF YOU USE THE SERVICE IN PERSON OR BY MAIL
You must report a change of your place of residence (your new place of residence) on a duly filled out form.
To report this change, you must submit:

You must report a change of the address of your place of residence to the office of the Department for Asylum and Migration Policy of the MOI (DAMP MOI), ideally to the office responsible for the district where your new place of residence is situated.
Alternatively, you can send the filled out reporting form, along with the documents, in accordance with the Rules of Administrative Procedure by mail to the official contacts of the MOI or directly to a specific office of DAMP MOI. It is always necessary to submit the originals or officially authenticated copies of the documents. Do not send the certificate of residence permit or the residence card by mail.

SANCTIONS
Failure to report a change of your place of residence is a minor offence for which a fine of up to CZK 5,000 can be imposed on you on the spot.
LANGUAGE OF THE CASE
All submitted documents must be in the Czech or Slovak language or must be officially translated into Czech.
