Granting Accreditation of a Study Programme

Main information

If you, as a higher education institution, are interested in providing a study programme, you must apply to the Accreditation Office for accreditation of the study programme. You will be granted accreditation of your study programme, if you fulfill the standards for accreditation under The Higher Educational Act, Section 78a(2)(b).

You are a higher education institution and you are interested in providing study programmes. 

When to use this service

When you are interested in providing a study programme. The Accreditation Office decides on granting accreditation within 120 days of the application.

Service settlement

What you need if you are using this service

You need a written request containing:

1) the name of the higher education institution, or its part, that will provide the study programme.

2) the components of the study programme

3) evidence of the staffing, financial, material and other resources of the study programme 

4) the development plan for the study programme

5. a self-evaluation report

6) in the case of a study programme aimed at the pursuit of a regulated profession, also the approval opinion of the recognition body

7) in the case of a study programme aimed at the training of professionals in the field of security of the Czech Republic, also the consenting opinion of the Ministry of Defence or the Ministry of the Interior.

Where and how to solve this service

In case you prefer to submit a paper version of application, you have to submit it in an electronic version on hard medium as well. Submit your application at National Accreditation Bureau for Higher Education, Karmelitská 5, 118 12 Praha 1.
